Job Summary:
The nonprofit team member will play a critical role in supporting the mission and objectives of Game Changers New York. They will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to drive the organization’s initiatives, programs, and projects. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, from administrative and logistical support to direct involvement in fundraising, community outreach, and program execution.
Responsibilities may include the following:
Fundraising Assistance:
Assist in planning and organizing fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Maintain donor databases, record contributions, and generate acknowledgments.
Contribute to grant research, writing, and reporting.
Community Engagement:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with volunteers, supporters, and community partners.
Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
Collaborate with volunteers for effective program implementation.
Program Support:
Collaborate with program managers to ensure smooth program implementation.
Assist in tracking program outcomes and collecting data for impact assessment.
Advocacy and Awareness:
Assist in advocacy efforts by researching relevant issues and drafting materials for campaigns.
Contribute to social media content, newsletters, and other communication efforts to raise awareness.
Qualifications:
Passion for and commitment to the mission of the organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
Experience in nonprofit work or related fields is a plus.
